About the Show:

The ISSA presents the 7th annual exhibition of Scratchboard art in Berea, Kentucky (U.S.A.). The exhibition shows professional and unique Scratchboard art from international artists. The International Society of Scratchboard Artists is the most important association for artists from all over the world working in this technique. The ISSA has the aim to represent the medium as independent art form to the public.

About the exhibition:

Since 2003 the Museum of natural history in Halberstadt presents the bi-yearly exhibition “MoVo -Modern Bird Paintings” in the Museum “Heineanum”. An award for the best bird painter is exclaimed by the Heineanum association, after a jury by members of the museum, as well as professionals in art and ornithology have chosen it‘s favorite work among all accepted entries. The exhibition in Halberstadt and the awarding is a stand alone among national art shows in Germany.

About the exhibition:

This year, 200 artworks by 141 Artists from 14 countries were chosen for AFC’s 12th annual exhibit, celebrating artistic excellence in the depiction of nature, raising awareness of conservation issues and supporting organizations dedicated to them.

90 artworks by 86 artists have been selected for inclusion in the live exhibit opening this fall. I'm extremely happy my Scratchboard work 'Prehistoric Charisma' is among this selection of works for the LIVE show in Vancouver. It was my first time entering artwork for the AFC annual show.

The live exhibit will premier at the Artists for Conservation Festival at VanDusen Botanical Gardens in Vancouver, Canada from September 26-29. Following the opening, the exhibit will tour internationally, including to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum from January 18 through March 30, 2020 and an anticipated return to Lanwan Museum in Qingdao, China.
