Northern Sentry

The Musk ox is a large herbivorous mammal and inhibits cold, tundra like landscapes of the higher north with an historically circumpolar occurrence of different populations. Today these animals are found in Greenland, Canada, Siberia, Alaska and parts of Norway and Sweden. In many areas the musk ox has been reintroduced. My painting ‘Northern Sentry’ shows my fascination for this unique animal which are perfectly adapted to their natural habitat.
