Summit Repose

The name "lynx" originated from the Greek word "λύγξ", derived from the Indo-European root "leuk-", meaning "light, brightness", in reference to the luminescence of its reflective eyes.

I was lucky to observe the Canadian lynx during my trip thorough the Rocky Mountain wilderness in North America.

I've been amazed by the intense eyes of this wild cat combined by the thick fur and the oversized paws. From its rocky observing point the animal was lurking well hidden in the vegetation. The sticking out herbs and mosses and lichen-patterned stones gave the composition an overall artistic touch.
