Subtle Streaks

The Clouded Leopard (Neofelis nebulosa) is a medium-sized cat found from the Himalayan foothills through mainland Southeast Asia into China. The species has been classified as vulnerable by IUCN, with a total population size suspected to be fewer than 10,000 individuals.

The cat with its very unique fur pattern reminds in some way to the Sable tooth tiger, since the canine teeth of the Clouded Leopard are quite long compared to other wild cats. They are also are very agile animals, able to climb trees head first and move along thin branchwood. I tried to show this lively character of this amazing wild cat in my Scratchboard work.
