1st time in world renowned show

The Artists for Conservation is a leading international artist group and the members are recognized for their environmental and conservancy work through the arts. Diana has been named a Signature member in 2018. The 12th annual Artists for Conservation Festival is featuring a world-class conservation themed art exhibit.

''Prehistoric Charisma' was selected for the AFC 2019 members exhibition, held at the VanDusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

The painting is done in scratchboard technique, where details were engraved with sharp tools, like a scalpel, to highlight certain details and structures. 

This year, 200 artworks by 141 Artists from 14 countries were chosen for AFC’s 12th annual exhibit, celebrating artistic excellence in the depiction of nature, raising awareness of conservation issues and supporting organizations dedicated to them. 90 artworks by 86 artists have been selected for inclusion in the live exhibit opening this fall. The live exhibit will premier at the Artists for Conservation Festival at VanDusen Botanical Gardens in Vancouver, Canada from September 26-29. Following the opening, the exhibit will tour internationally, including to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum from January 18 through March 30, 2020 and an anticipated return to Lanwan Museum in Qingdao, China.
