Siberian Soul

The Amur Tiger or Siberian Tiger – Synonyms for the majestic big cats in the animal world of Russias Far East. Panthera tigris altaica is the northernmost sub-species of Tiger in the world today. Sadly, the Siberian Tiger is also considered a critically endangered species with the primary threats to its' survival in the wild being habitat loss and poaching to supply demand for tiger parts on the black market.

Today about 540 individuals are remaining in the wild. The question is: Can we save the Siberian Tiger from extinction before it’s too late? We are responsible for the well-being of our natural ecosystems and all living within it. I hope the Amur Tiger population will emerging back into the light and not vanishing into darkness. To transport my opinion into a painting I’ve created an artwork where the animal faces a high-contrast light Situation.
