Shoreline Brave

The scene of my painting ‘Shoreline Brave’ takes places at the American West Coast, the Golf of Alaska where the biggest of the sea lions live.

The Steller Sea Lion inhabits the cool waters of the North Pacific. Their remaining populations are endangered, because they only feed on fish. The over-fishing of Alaska's coastal regions is causing big problems for the Stellar Sea Lions. My artwork gives an insight into the life of these magnificent creatures with the main focus on the awe-inspiring environment surrounding the animals. The Steller Sea Lions are depicted in their natural kingdom made of water, rocks and cliffs. They are perfectly adapted to the ecosystem and braving the tough conditions of the North Pacific climate.
