The White Wagtail (Motacilla alba) is a common bird around here and I always love to watch them dashing around in the garden, fleet-footed and wagging their tails. 'Backyard Treasures' shows a lovely scene from our grandpa’s garden, which is a small paradise for birds and other critters. Some old rusty barrels, overgrown from grass and weeds and some colorful, ornamental patterns of an abandoned, old pot gave the inspiration to do this acrylic painting. The little White Wagtail fits perfectly into the scene and gives a nice counter-play to the blue and white enamel paints.
