The Canadian Lynx is definitely one of my favorite wild cats. I was lucky to photograph this beautiful feline member some years ago during a trip to Montana. This portraiture of the cat was done in scratchboard technique which is the perfect medium to capture the atmospheric black-and -white scenery. I love the light and shadow in this particular picture, because it models the form of the head very well and gives a visual feeling of the fur texture.
